Are you travelling to a high-risk country for Yellow Fever? If you are travelling to Africa or certain countries in South and Central America you will need to get the Yellow Fever vaccination at an accredited Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre such as Miles Pharmacy. We offer all travel vaccinations and can also provide the Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate as proof that you are immunised.

What Is Yellow Fever?
Yellow fever is a serious, potentially deadly flu-like disease spread by mosquitoes infected by Aedes aegypti. Yellow Fever is characterised by a dangerously high fever and jaundice. Jaundice is the yellowing of the skin and eyes, which is why it is called Yellow Fever. The good news is that the disease is preventable with a single dose of the Yellow Fever vaccine which provides immunity for life.
Yellow Fever Symptoms
If you’ve travelled to Africa, South or Central America and have fallen ill with the symptoms below, you may have Yellow Fever. Anyone with Yellow Fever should seek medical attention immediately.
Symptoms include:
- Fever.
- Jaundice.
- Headache.
- Muscle aches, particularly in your back and knees.
- Sensitivity to light.
- Nausea, vomiting, or both.
- Loss of appetite.
- Dizziness.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Services at Miles Pharmacy
The Yellow Fever vaccine is only available from registered Yellow Fever Vaccination Centres like our Miles Pharmacy Travel Clinic in Epsom. We will also provide you with a valid certificate as proof of vaccination which will be required for some VISAs and entry into some international travel destinations.
To give the vaccine enough time to work and for your certificate to be valid, you need to get the vaccine at least 10 days before travelling.
